Superheroes
Greetings true believers!
Have your Lego bricks been exposed to cosmic radiation? Have they
been bitten by a radioactive animal? Have they undergone some kind of
treatment to become Super-Bricks? Or are they simply from another
plane of existence where they live forever and wield the powers of
Gods? Then this year's Superhero display is where they belong!
In honor of the newly announced expansion of both the DC and Marvel
comic licenses coming next year, I'm putting together a new category:
Superheroes!
(What? No, I didn't try this years ago when Batman first came out,
that was some other guy!)
Let me share with you my vision! SUPER-vision! (OK, enough with the
big announcer voice.)
The Superhero category can include a wide variety of entries including
a main display plan of building a CCC compatible street (possibly
incorporated on the edge of Town/Train, maybe Steve B?) filled with
Superheroes battling supervillains, sidekicks coming along with
catchphrases, and maybe even an alien invasion! If any of you saw my
Town entry from last year's BrickCon, you'll know what I mean. Here's
a helpfull link.
Other ideas could be Heroes and Villains over in Bricks of Character!
Logos and Comic Art over in the Art section! Vehicles for your characters in Model Team!
And now, to entice you in with fabulous prizes, the trophy categories!
Most Heroic - Best Hero MOC (duh)
Most Villainous - Best Villain MOC (again, duh)
The Sidekick (category to be defined at the Convention)
The Kirby - Art award/Most artistic. Named after the late, great Jack Kirby!
Trophy-mobile - Best Vehicle.
So put your underwear on the outside and build something SUPER!
Excellsior!
